Client Background

A manufacturing plant in Germany required a reliable network solution to connect IP cameras, PLCs, and wireless access points across multiple production zones. The environment featured temperature fluctuations, electromagnetic interference, and limited cabinet space.

Product Introduction

The LNK-IMC208SG-SFP is a mini industrial managed Ethernet switch with 8*10/100/1000Base-T RJ45 ports and 2*100/1000Base-X SFP fiber ports. It supports web management, STP/RSTP redundancy, VLAN, QoS, and operates from -40°C to 80°C.

Problem Solved
  • Unstable network connections due to temperature extremes.
  • Lack of fiber connectivity for long-distance transmission between buildings.
  • Limited rack space for traditional switches.
Our Solution

We installed multiple LNK-IMC208SG-SFP switches in DIN-rail cabinets near each production zone. The SFP ports were used for fiber uplinks to the central server room, while RJ45 ports connected local devices. Redundant power inputs ensured continuous operation.

Results & Benefits
  • Network stability improved with no downtime recorded.
  • Fiber links extended network coverage up to 20km between buildings.
  • Compact size saved cabinet space and simplified maintenance.
  • Web management allowed remote configuration and monitoring.
Client Feedback

“The switches have been running flawlessly for over 12 months in our harsh environment. The web interface is intuitive, and the fiber options gave us the flexibility we needed." – IT Manager, German Manufacturing Plant
