This DIN-rail mountable unit effectively converts 10/100/1000Base-T copper Ethernet to 1000Base-X fiber optic connections using hot-swappable SFP modules, supporting both single-mode and multi-mode fiber for flexible network design.
As a Power over Ethernet Power Sourcing Equipment (PoE PSE) device, it complies with the IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) standard, delivering robust power and data over a single cable to connected PDs (Powered Devices) such as wireless access points, IP cameras, and VoIP phones. Its hardened industrial-grade construction ensures stable operation across an extended temperature range from -40°C to +80°C, making it suitable for harsh conditions in outdoor, factory, and utility applications.
A key intelligent feature is the integrated PoE reset function. Upon detecting a loss of the fiber RX signal, the device automatically disables PSE power output on the UTP port for a 2-second interval. This allows remote powered devices to safely reinitialize, significantly enhancing system reliability and reducing maintenance needs in unattended or hard-to-reach installations. Fully compliant with the EN55022 standard for electromagnetic compatibility, this converter offers a dependable solution for extending and strengthening network infrastructure in industrial automation, intelligent transportation, and surveillance systems.

When enabled, the media converter will, upon loss of fiber RX, turn off PSE output power supplied to the PD device for 2 seconds then turn the power back on and leave it on until such time that another fiber RX link is lost (after it was re-established). When disabled, a loss of fiber RX has no effect on PSE power to the PD device(s). |
